New head of ONACAM's Finance Office installed

The Director General of ONACAM officially installed on 28 February 2023 in the banquet hall of the Combatant's House in Yaounde, the new OD (Officer of the Year) Warrant Officer Felix Gwiswe Haikamla to replace Major Martin Njikam who has retired.

It is a serene man who is taking the helm of the Finance Office of ONACAM, the National Office for Veterans, Former Military Personnel and Victims of War of Cameroon. Warrant Officer Felix Gwiswe Haikamla, a young non-commissioned officer, was chosen for this position because of his management skills and his knowledge of financial accounting to head the finance office of the office.

The Director General of ONACAM in officially installing him reminded him that the task ahead is immense. According to Colonel Alfred Fuller: "The management techniques used in public establishments have nothing in common with the management of defense force formations and units. Your predecessor started this reform, it is now up to you to bring it to completion. You do not lack assets, you have the necessary means to complete the work started by your predecessor. You can count on your youth, your competence, your capacity for discernment, your spirit of fairness, your flexibility of mind and your ability to question. The Office expects from you the right recipe that you will implement to enable it to reach the performance to which the Minister of Finance commits us".

Warrant Officer Félix Gwiswe is well aware of the challenges he faces: "I don't have any problems, all I care about here at ONACAM is my work. It is true that gossip and low blows are not lacking in the professional world, but I do not dwell on this kind of thing, the most important thing for me is to assume the missions that are mine.

The new ONACAM Denier Officer thus replaces Major Martin Njikam who was absent during this handover ceremony. Assigned on November 23, 2012 within ONACAM, the Head of Human Resources Office, Arsène Akono, during his speech on the occasion specifies that this handover coincides with the retirement of one of the doyens of the Cameroonian army hired on February 15, 1982, totaling to date 41 years of service and marks the arrival of a Non-Commissioned Officer who is making his first marks at ONACAM: "He leaves the Office after 11 years spent in our company, he has during this period fully played his role of accountant.

Today, it's time for youth. Only 33 years old, "OD", as he is called within ONACAM, is leaving the Training Center for Non-Commissioned Officers (CIESO) in Koutaba in the Western region of Cameroon, where he was Chief Accountant and Secretary. Enrolled voluntarily in the Cameroonian army on April 8, 2011 at the National School for Active NCOs (ENSOA), Warrant Officer Felix Gwiswe Haikamla holds a Baccalaureate D. He attended two training courses in Koutaba from 2011 to 2013 and graduated as a Sergeant. After these trainings he was assigned to the Air Force Staff.

The Head of the ONACAM Finance Office, who has proven himself elsewhere, is married and has three children. Good luck to Warrant Officer GWISWE in his new position in Yaoundé in the Central Region.
